This is a very nice advertising piece made in England for Maxwell House coffee. I believe it was made by Grindley pottery, a supplier of hotel and restaurant ware as well as other types of dinnerware. I have seen a few of these mugs on the market that had the Grindley name embossed. This one has made in England on the bottom.
This mug is 3.5" high and measures 4.5" wide to the end of the handle. It is in excellent condition. It is very clean and shows no utensil marks inside. The red lettering on the front is in great shape as well with just a very tiny scratch visible on the M.
I do not know the date of manufacture. I am guessing it could be the 1980s. This may have been part of an promotion by Maxwell House.
